Thank you so much for checking out my blog! I am so so excited to share my World Race journey with you. For starters, I am 21 years old and I am from Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. I currently live in Minneapolis, MN and I will be graduating this May from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a major in kinesiology and minor in psychology. As of right now, I am hoping to to go grad school for occupational therapy after the Race, but we can only wait to see what really happens.

15 other things you should know about me:

1. My favorite candies are Sour Patch Kids and Reese’s peanut butter cups… really, I love anything peanut butter, even plain spoonfuls.
2. My most-played Pandora stations are Ben Rector and Hillsong United, but I’m also known to jam out to country music.
3. I love to dance. If music is playing, I’m probably moving.
4. I spent 5 weeks in Ghana, Africa on a mission trip with the campus ministry Cru, where the Lord totally broke my heart for the world and showed me what it looks like to be joyful with so little.
5. I spent the fall semester of my junior year studying abroad in Canberra, Australia. If I hadn’t already caught the travel bug, I really caught it there. My desire to see more of the world, experience different cultures, and try new things just continues to grow.
6. My hidden talent is that I can pogo-stick without hands while jumping rope.
7. I wear mismatched socks everyday. What used to be out of convenience or laziness has since become intentional.
8. I live in a house of 12 women who love the Lord and point me toward Jesus everyday. I am so so thankful for all of them.
9. My favorite TV show is Friends.
10. I lead a Bible study of Junior women at the U of M and I am consistently learning so much from them. I’ve also developed a mild obsession with Beth Moore, especially her Breaking Free study.
11. Some of my favorite activities include cuddling, coloring in coloring books, laying by the ocean, chatting in coffee shops, swimming, bonfires, scuba diving (though I’ve only done it once), and dance parties.
12. I am the worst at goodbyes. I cry without fail. Leaving my most loved friends and family for nearly a year will not be easy, but it will be worth it.
13. I like to think I am pretty low maintenance, but the one thing I need is my hair mousse. My Tresemme extra hold curl control hair mousse. Let’s just say I will be rocking a huge afro for all 11 months.
14. I am sinful, broken, and weak, but with Jesus I am made clean, whole, and strong.

15. I am so incredibly excited for this adventure of loving and serving the people of these 11 countries!!! I still can’t believe this is actually happening.
