Just a quick update on life, for all of you who have been following me this year!
I made it home from Texas 4 days earlier than my family and friends expected (thanks for the surprise help, Austen!). I also left everything I owned this year (except for a small bag including my wallet, phone, headphones and charger) in Texas. That’s what happens when you show up at an airport to find out your flight leaves from a DIFFERENT airport. I made it on time, but it was too late to check my bag. So my dear friend Daniela is taking good care of it in Texas! I know, I know, you would think by the end of this year I would be a pro at travel, but that is just not the case.
In other news, I’ve been enjoying my time adjusting back to home. It’s a culture shock for sure, but it’s been so good to be with friends and family so I can’t complain. Also, endless opportunities of what to wear in my closet has made re-entry so much easier. It makes me a little emotional posting this blog, to realize that this amazing chapter of my life is over.
As for now, starting in just a couple weeks I will be working full time as a house mom at House of Providence in Detroit! Check them out online! ( http://thehofp.org/ ) I’m so excited to be working with this organization who is Christ-centered, spirit-led, and is making such a difference in the lives of these girls.
My next two weeks are mostly open, if you’re interested in meeting up to hear about my year, text me! I love to talk about it 🙂 And, if you or anyone you know needs a babysitter, LET ME KNOW! America is expensive! Haha!
I’ll be posting blogs soon to summarize my year, hopefully this will hold you over for now!
