It only took a look out the bus window leaving Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

I am in love with Kenya.

I dreamed for so long of being in Africa, so much so that being here is hard to distinguish from my imagination. But my feet are tinted red with Kenyan dirt, and my lungs are full of Kenyan air. I am here. There aren’t adequate words to describe what is around me and what stirs in my heart.

My miracle of a camera, the Canon S90, could barely take it in. And even then, my little USB internet modem takes a few hours to upload a single photo. All I can show you for now is where I’m living:
