Last night I got a chance to skype with the students that I had been teaching before I came on the race. One of the students that was present was Matthew Wall – or Matt Wall because he hates when I call Him Matthew. (How prophetic is his name P.S.?) Matthew is a student I never had in class. He would pop his head in from time to time and would always say hi when he walked past my room. I was given the privilege of coaching Matthew last spring in track (long jump and triple jump) and the privilege of watching this young man excel in something he had no clue he was good at. Although his attitude, behavior, words and actions may not always reflect it, Matthew has a HUGE heart that is just waiting for its purpose. Waiting to be called into greatness. This blog is completely inspired by him, for him and for any young man or woman out there who may be like him.
Its time to rise up young man, you have better things coming! Promises to be fullfilled!
You will graduate high school
You will make better grades this half of the year than last half of the year
You will graduate in the top 50 – no the top 25 of you class
You will find a way to pay for college, you will go and you will receive an amazing education
You will find your passion
You will find your true identity
You will find Love and Grace
You will walk in Forgiveness and you will steward Forgiveness
You will meet HIM and you will hear the call to Greatness on your life
You will RISE UP
You will witness to a generation of Kingdom builders
You will lead them and raise them up out of the ghettos, projects, hood
You will place your feet in the Holy soil of Mama Afrika
You will be changed and you will change others
All Glory will be given to God
You are awesome buddy! You are a son to the most high! Royalty. A child of God. A young man with a promise on your life. An heir to the throne. A young man with a huge heart!
