I have been aware of this since I started, but it really hit me today…
I am unemployed
homeless
I live off of what people give to me, out of the way our Father moves them to steward their money
I only have $3.75 for food per day
I only have about $5.00 to have a roof over my head (which is currently the floor of a lecture room)
I only have whatever is in the 70 liter pack I brought with me – including my bed
My transportation – when it is not walking – is funded by my supporters and encompasses anything from planes to chicken buses to tuk tuks
My town house . . . gone
My car . . . gone
My big comfy pillow top bed . . . gone
My favorite foods . . . all too expensive – if they are found at all
My rights to several things . . . do not exist anymore
My life as I once new it . . . GONE
. . . and I couldn’t be any happier
Why?
My love for an amazing Father . . .is growing stronger
My intimacy with an incredible lover . . . is growing deeper
My faith in the Lord’s plans for me in this world . . . is increasing more and more each day
The way I look at people . . . is changing
The way I pray . . . is becoming more and more Kingdom focused
The attitude I approach each day with . . . is all about HIM
I LOVE MY LIFE! I love this crazy, upside down, always changing BUT ALWAYS consistent life that I am living! What can be better than walking in the freedom that the Lord has provided me? Something I didn’t have to earn, but was freely given to me! To live in the joy of being loved by my amazing Father everyday! Falling more and more in love with His son, my closest friend. Knowing that His spirit lives inside of me and with Him nothing is impossible! But more so knowing that I get to spread this amazing feeling! I get to bless you with all of the things that He has blessed me with. That YOU can have it too! FOR FREE!
How could you turn that down?
Speaking of loving life! My squad and I have made it to Thailand! We just spent the last 2 days in Bangkok and are heading up to Chiang Mai Sund (Dec 12th) to begin ministry with Lighthouse in Action. The women on my team have been paired up with the women on team 180. I can’t wait to share this month of ministry with them! We will be working with the women and men who have been brought out of or are still working in the prostitution rings in the city (with a main focus on the gay and lesbian men and women involved in prostitution) I encourage you all to check out their ministry site www.lighthousethai.com.
I LOVE Thailand and its people ahhh!! Even though it took forever and a day to get here — no really we left Nicaragua at 4am on December 8th and made it to Bangkok at Noon on December 10th and we still have 12 more hours on a bus to Chiang Mai — its been amazing so far and I can already say that I will be coming back here! I love the women who I have gotten to interact with so far and can’t wait to see what else awaits us in Chiang Mai!
