Never in my life have a been so proud to serve a group of women who posses great amounts of the Lord’s strength and authority. Who cover each other so thickly with prayer. Who fearlessly and boldly step out in their faith in God each night as they walk into the bars. Who continuously seek out His eyes and His heart and act only in what He tells them or how He moves them. This group of women are beautiful and fierce women who walk so confidently in the freedom the Lord has given them. They are HUGE, bright lights who shine with everything that God has made them. Just being themselves proves to be an irresistible attraction to anyone within miles.
With this amazing and selfless love that they have been allowing the Lord to overflow in them awesome things have been happening. Through their obedience and just being who God called them to be, and walking in the giftings He has given them, things are changing. Cracks are being spread wide open and walls are starting to crumble. Truth is being revealed and a stand is being taken for all types of injustices here in this city. These women are ministering to everyone that God gives them the opportunity to work with, no questions asked, no judgments made. They are loving with the love of Christ. They have allowed God to take the reigns, direct them and even speed up the process. What they have been doing in 2 weeks has taken others 2 months to touch. God has truly purposed every move, conversation and relationship that is being built. Ah He is so AMAZING!
Now here we are, New Years Eve and these amazing women have already established beautiful and loving relationships with several women in prostitution, a lady boy, customers, and even bar owners. They have developed beautiful friendships with employees at the café and have spent time serving university students. I could not be more proud of this INCREDIBLE group of fire breathing women of God. I know that He delights in their obedience and love and it is so apparent in the blessings that He continues to pour out over them. They are a complete encouragement and motivation for me to keep seeking Him, to keep putting my trust in His hands, and to continue to walk in obedience no matter how different, freaky or embarrassing it may be (even if it means dancing in front of a bar).
Right now we are working with a young woman in the bars who wants to find a way out. Please continue to pray into us that God will provide what is necessary for her to get out of the bars (She currently has to make 20,000 baht a month to send home to her mother who has medical problems with her heart). We are working with an incredible organization out of Chiang Rai called Destiny Rescue who are even more passionate than we are to bring this young woman out of the bar life. We would love to have your prayers that God would work all of this out in His perfect timing and that this young woman will have the life she has always dreamed of.
