Wujal Wujal has a few older people that live in the community, and they are called the Elders. I haven’t really figured out if there is some requirement for being an elder other than being a little (quite a bit) up there in age. One of the elders name’s is Uncle Harry. He doesn’t really hear well at all, but he is always one of the first people to greet us when we go up to our meeting place. It is such a simple phrase he says, but it never ceases to make my night. He also say, “Hello there good sister.” Anything he says to us he always ends in “good sister”. Uncle Harry has also been one of the few people that has come to the fellowship nights we’ve had, and even though he can’t really hear us, he’ll kind of bob is head to the music, and he always stays until we are done with the devotion or whatever God has put on our hearts to do that night. Just seeing Uncle Harry excited about us being there, even though he doesn’t hear what we say, he knows we are there to worship the Lord and its just so cool to see him come out to worship with us.
