At this end of this month, we went through our first team transition, which means we have new Squad Leaders and new teams. Our new Squad Leaders are Mike Schuerman, Liz Norris, and Noe Rivera.

My new team is Team Current: Me, Lindsey Eaton, Kristi Kaeli, Carl Wilson, Kathryn Gironimi, Nate Evans, and Amy Book.
We got our team name from Psalm 37 where it says, “Commit everything you do toe the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” Kathryn had been studying this verse and found out that the word Commit in Hebrew or Greek (I don’t remember which one) literally means “to roll with”. So when you commit to God to are saying you are going to roll with God. And then she got a very cool picture of a tire at the top of a hill and us getting in it, and God being the one pushing the tire. From the top of the hill, we have limited view so who knows what is below, but once you get in the tire, you can’t stop it and you can’t control it so by getting in it you are putting total faith in God and giving him full control.
So we started with the word commit, but didn’t really like that for a team name so we thought of other things that could represent rolling with God and came up with the idea of a current.
