So I have decided these last couple of months that I just
don’t really like blogging, but since I do believe it is an important part of
ministry, and I am supposed to do it, and Kathryn Lynn Gironomi is sitting
across from me right now forcing me to blog, I decided to put something up.

            I
am currently in Chanthaburi, Thailand. This month has been nothing at all like
what I expected.  First off, I was
given the opportunity this month to be in a leadership position, which has both
been awesome and challenging. I love having the responsibility, but it has also
pushed me and showed me areas where I need to be more self-less, and put the
team first. It has also given me a lot more appreciation for what our leaders
out here one field do, and what some of the people back at AIM spend their time
doing for us. It has definitely also stretched me. I usually hate speaking to
groups, and I very rarely pray out loud, but I find myself doing both of those
things on a fairly regular basis this month. I have also learned that its ok
for everyone not to be happy with me all the time.

            Secondly,
our ministry has ended up being 100% different than what I expected. Before we
left to come on the World Race, while we were at training camp, we were told to
give up all expectations and that we didn’t have ‘the right’ to any
expectations. I thought I had given up all my expectations, until we reached
this month. I thought that Thailand meant would be working in the Red Light
District or in human trafficking of some kind, so I was a little shocked when I
first found out that we would not be doing anything even remotely close to bar
ministry. But, I recovered fast from that, because at the same time I found
that out, I was asked to be a leader this month, so I knew I needed to have a good
attitude when telling the rest of my team what our ministry would be.

            Even
though this month hasn’t been what I thought it would be, it has still been an
amazing month all the same. I am really learning that God can use ANYTHING.
Even a simple sign written on computer paper that reads ‘You are beautiful’ in
Thai.

            So
again, I am sorry for not blogging more, but I will try to get better at it. If
you would like to read a little more about what I am doing this month, I do
have 9 awesome ladies with me this month who have been blogging:
