On Thursday during our flight from Bucherest, Romania to Doha, Qatar God gave me a divine appointment.
The row I sat in consisted of a Bulgarian guy, me, and my squadmate Vanessa.
As soon as we sat down, the guy immediately started talking to us.
Prior to getting on the plane he had notice our big group, 48 in total, huddled up in the airport.
He asked what we were doing, where we were going, where we had came from, etc.
This was just a beginning of the questions he asked.
As he heard the details of our travels, his questions changed from what we were doing to why we were doing it… which, of course, led to many questions on his behalf about God.
During our 4 hour flight he asked many questions and Vanessa & I worked together to answer them.
We covered a wide range of topics & read some bible verses/passages together.
Through-out the flight we talked about:
- The Trinity — God, Jesus, & The Holy Spirit — including characteristics of each of them
- The different ways we can hear from God
- The difference between being a believer and actually living out your faith
- I shared my Matthew 25 story from Romania (check it out) as an example of living & active faith
- Sin — Adam & Eve — The Fall — Read part of Gen 3 together
- Forgiveness
- The church — worshiping God vs. worshipping objects
- The infiniteness of God/ the word — how there are new revelations all the time of who God is or how some of the most common scriptures hit us differently during different times in our lives — we read one of my favorite verses, Psalm 62:8 together & I got to explain how it has meant differnet things to me during different times of my life

Love — how we are called to love others because God loves us, which includes our enemies & those who may steal from us
(I am sure there were more things talked about, but for now this is all that I can remember.)
What an awesome opportunity God gave us, huh?
And it was cool to see how some prophecies that were spoken over me during my month in Moldova were put into action.
You see, many people during my month in Moldova prophecied the word boldness over me — that I would speak with boldness.
This divine appointment on the airplane was a perfect opportunity for me to speak in boldness.
This was one of the first opportunities I have had to share the gospel with someone in such a straight forward way on the race. So far I have shared bible stories, talked through a translator, and loved people with my actions…
But this,
this was my first time really sharing the gospel with someone, carrying on a conversation, and trusting the Holy Spirit to give me the words to say for the harder questions that didn't have easy answers.
Pray for our friend — that the stuff we shared really sinks in & that his interest in God continues to deepen.
Pray that he buys a bible — he seemed really interested in wanting one & we kept encouraging him to buy one.
Pray that God would put someone else in his life to continue sharing the Gospel with him — he kept telling us he didn't have anyone to ask questions to about God & Faith which is why he kept asking us so many.
Pray that God would give me, and the rest of my squad, more opportunities to share the Gospel.
