You’ve probably noticed that it’s been a while since you
last heard from me.

I am sorry for that.

I can assure you that ‘no news is good news’.

There has been so much going on,

and I have found it hard to blog.

BUT that’s not because I am lacking
things to share.

In fact, it’s the opposite problem.

There is so much happening in me & through my team and
I.

In the next 2 weeks, I hope to be sharing more with you
about what I am currently doing and what happened in the previous few months.

For now I am going to give you a brief summary of Thailand
and Cambodia.

Thailand

Location: Phang Nga, which is southern Thailand near Phuket.

Ministry we worked with: Eagle’s Rest Foundation, an
organization that offers retreats for native pastors of SE Asia.

What we did for ministry: it varied a lot but included
painting a church, home visits, English Camp, evangelism, and organizing part
of the office.

Off day adventures: sight seeing of the area…rode elephants
through the jungle, took a boat tour of islands, and toured the island of
Phuket.

Housing situation: A house, all to ourselves including a
western toilet, washing machine, dining room table, hot water showers, and
refrigerator.

Food situation: Variety of western and asian dishes.

Highlight of the month: New team. I got to spend the month
with one of my previous teammates and 4 new ones. It was really fun,
encouraging, and edifying.

What God was teaching me: Peace, what it looks like to be
peaceful in all circumstances.

Cambodia

Location: Sa ‘Ang, 45 minutes south of Phnom Penh

Ministry: House of Joy

What we did for ministry: taught English at two different
schools & led bible studies at House of Joy

Off day adventures: 3 day vacation to Sinhuoak ville  and weekends in Phnom Penh.

Housing Situation: Big open room on the top of House of Joy,
squatty potty toilets, bucket showers.

Highlight of the month: Teaching our Level 5 (5th
grade … ish) English class. The students were absolutely adorable. They started
buying snacks everyday, giving us the opportunity to try a variety of Asian
things.

What God was teaching me: Patience, what it looks like to
have added patience in unknown situations.

As for me personally,

The past few months have been a rollercoaster.

There have been many challenges and many celebrations in all
facets of my life.

Thankfully, through it all God has been so faithful and
continuously teaching me things in both the ups and downs

This is all for now,

More to come shortly.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I am in Vietnam.

(I am in Da Nang, which is in the middle below Hue)
