Our time in Draganesti-Olt has been so good.
The missionaries we are working with are phenomenal.
Their dedication and passion for this city—both the adults & children is inspirational.

(This is Raul & his family; he is the Pastor of the church we are working with)
Our ministry this month has been humbling.
We have been doing a lot of small things mostly behind the scenes.
This month it’s not about us & what we are doing in the community
but about what we can do to allow the long-term missionaries to do what they do to reach out to the community.
My thinking has gone from “What can I do to share the gospel with the people in this city?” to “What can I do to serve these long-term missionaries, so they can do what they need to do to share the gospel with the people in Draganesti-Olt?”
It’s been humbling but hard at times.
By my worldly nature I want to have accomplishments & visible fruit of my labor,
which the Lord has revealed to me is more for selfish & boastful reasons more than anything else.
So this month, the Lord has humbled me through our ministry because I don’t have any huge accomplishments or visible fruits of my labor to share with all of you.
And you know what? I am 100% ok with that because I have learned about serving behind the scenes, serving in humility, and focusing on what God is doing & not ME.
In serving behind the scenes, I have…
…scrapped paint off floors & window/door frames
…scrubbed mortar off of tiles

…wiped wet paint off the floor & window/door frames
…cut out about 1,500 invitations
…walked for hours, in villages, handing out invitations (for the church opening)
…gone up & down 6 or 7 stories of stairs in at least 15 apartment complexes
…swept the floor

…worked in a garden
…mopped the floor
…picked up trash on the side of the road
…served food
…ran to the store to pick up stuff
And in ALL of these small, and sometimes mundane tasks, the joy of the Lord has filled me because in serving the missionaries I have allowed them to serve the community in Draganesti-Olt.
