This month has been a busy one…
here is a quick glimpse of my time in Moldova

Some interesting cultural facts:
-They believe that women become infertile after sitting on the cold cement. By this point everyone in town probably thinks I am never having babies… Ever.
-There is no real running water or heating systems in the town. Drawing water from wells anyone? Wood burners?
-Every hour 4 Moldavians emigrate, 5 are born, & 6 die.
-If your baby is sick, you make a necklace out of garlic & put it around their neck.
– Family comes before career, so it’s common to get married young (21-years-old)

Some fun things I have done:
-Learned how to catch & throw chickens

-Held a baby “beaver” (which is really a muskrat & don’t worry mom, it was only that 1 time)

-Climbed to the top of the highest hill in the area

-Took a weekend “vacation” to Chisinau (the capital) to spend time with another World Race Squad that just came to Moldova for their last month of the race.

-Played dress-up, on many occasions, because we have access to a “magic” clothing closet at the church

-Chased pigs around the farm trying to get them back into the cage

-Squished 20 people into one van… 3 times.

-Started learning how to play the guitar

-Got lice on Halloween

Yay Moldova!
Now to NEPAL!
