Today I am overwhelmed with the fact that I have some amazing women in my life. With all the stresses of preparing to leave: finances, the thought of being separated from family, feeling inadequate, I believe God’s shown me Himself through the love of these women.
From this morning when my sweet sister came to visit me at work…to noon where I sat at a kitchen table eating scones with a woman who told me stories about her life and listened to stories of my own…to this afternoon when I had random conversations with girlfriends about where to eat pancakes or celebrating Appalachian football… to this evening, sitting in a room with breath-taking women who show great strength in weakness…to just now getting off the phone with my little sister after exchanging our most recent revelations. None perfect, none having it all together, but all of them playing an integral part in my life and teaching me what it means to love God and love others.
Now to you amazing women in my life: You are all unique, beautiful, precious and loved. You add flavor to my life. You encourage, uplift, pray, and support. You challenge me to know Christ and know His truth about who I am. You inspire me to be beautiful…resting in Him. You sharpen me. You have helped me become the woman I am today and the woman I will be in the future. Thank you.
