THE PASTOR
This is the pastor of our church in Mexico, Marcos Valesquez Dias. He has been a Christian for about 4 years and really has a passion to share the love of Christ with people in his community. While we were there, he let us lead church services and took us to visit people in their homes. We learned about these people´s culture, their families, and had the opportunity to pray for them.
From the beginning, we really desired for Pastor Marcos to have training and discipleship. Right before we left an opportunity arose for him to be trained at the school we stayed at our first week in Palenque. The training is amazingly free and the only cost needed is to help provide for his family while he is away at the school. This was definitely an answer to our prayers.
It was sad to leave Pastor Marcos, his family and the community, but I´m thankful that we had the privilege of meeting them.
