This past Saturday I walked a 5k (sorry to all you runners out there but I’m a die-hard yoga fanatic so my cardio basically doesn’t exist, its a shame to say – so yay for 43 minute 5k’s!).  It was a run against child prostitution called 7200 Steps to Stop Demand put on by A Future, Not a Past and they did an excellent job.  It was a beautiful morning for the event and I was able to run (walk) with some friends from Not For Sale Campaign.  It was the first 5k I’ve ever done and it felt so great to be able to put action behind something I am so passionate about.  It’s hard at times waiting for January to come so I can go and minister and show love to these girls and guys.  However I feel like it is very good training for when I get back to the states to stay busy with these campaigns and these events, because not everything will be planned for me, I will have to go out and look for things to be involved in.  My trip will finish in May 2011, but slavery will not.  I see this trip as my launching pad for what I will do and what I will participate in for the rest of my life.  This is not some cutsie trip for me.  I mean business.  Not in my city, not on my watch.
