There are now 100 Katie Axelson World Race shirts floating around the world. (Thanks, Fund the Nations!)

Just sending them out, I mailed them to almost 15 states. Assuming those people travel and may take the shirt with them, they are literally going all around the world.

It’s been fun to see where they go.

(Side note: I’m having an issue with photos in the email so click through to the blog if you’re reading via email.

But there’s so much more to it than keeping track of a silly purple shirt as it circles the globe.

In the Old Testament the manifestation of God’s presence was the arc of the covenant. It was stored in the Holy of Holiesa room so remarkable that only one priest could visit it for one hour every year. A curtain separated the presence of God from the people.

When Christ died on the cross, the curtain was torn. The manifestation of His presence was no longer limited to a room so holy it could rarely be visited.

Now the tangible reminder that He is here gets to dwell someplace else.

It gets to dwell in us.

The Holy Spirit lives in us which means that intimacy and power previous associated with the arc of the covenant now resides in you.

God is building His kingdom in us and we get to bring His kingdom everywhere we go.

More than wearing the same purple shirt around the world, we’re bringing the same kingdom of God.

Of course, God’s omnipresent just like He was in the Old Testament. We’re not taking Him someplace where He’s not already work.

But we’ve been invited to be part of what He’s already doing.

I love the way Jason Gray puts it,

“God put a million, million doors for His love to walk through. One of those doors is you.”

A million, million doors.

Across fifteen states.

Almost one hundred different people.

Each carrying God’s kingdom to their school, their work, their roommates, their Wal-mart…

(Video issues too? Find it on YouTube)

Think about what the world would look like if each 100 of us were intentional how we’re revealing God’s presence?

Reality is, pastors, teachers, missionaries, writers, singer/songwriters aren’t the only ones in ministry.

No matter what your job title is, if your name badge says “Son/Daughter of the King,” then you work in ministry.

You get to bring the kingdom.

God has asked you to be one of the doors His presence walks through into this world.

I get to be part of His presence in 11 different countries.

You get to be part of His presence in 15 states around the country.

We’re partners in this “bring the kingdom” great commission because we can’t all bring the kingdom to Wal-mart. Someone has to go to Target. That’s all there is to it.

Today I’m flying out to be part of what God’s already doing in Puerto Rico. I HOPE you’ll join me in being part of what He’s already doing in the lives of your family members, your co-workers, your friends…

How can you bring the kingdom where you are today?
