Every month has a sound track and this month’s sound track has been the contemporary Christian music from the 1990s and 2000s. Michael W. Smith’s Second Decade, Barlow Girl’s “Never Alone,” and TobyMac’s Diverse City.

These were the songs on the radio when I discovered Christian music in my mom’s minivan.

It’s been a fun blast through the past as we try and remember lyrics, share stories about what these songs mean to us, and how DC Talk used to be a thing.

It seems we all had dance moves to “Big House” by Audio Adrenaline so naturally, it’s a favorite.

Somewhere between listenings we realized that Audio A’s description of heaven is actually pretty accurate.

“Come and go with me to my Father’s house. Come and go with me to my Father’s house. It’s a big, big house with lots and lots of room. A big, big table with lots and lots of food. A big, big yard where we can play football. A big, big house. It’s my Father’s house.”
