We finished ministry early this month so we asked our host if we could take a quick trip (48 hours) to Machu Picchu (10 hours away by bus).

It was a really quick trip but totally worth it. Here’s a little vlog update for you from Allie and me with a guest appearance from Sandra.

The Incas were so detailed in their architecture. There are certain windows that display the sun perfectly on the summer and winter solstices. All of the walls are angled in just enough to be more stable during earthquakes. Niches are exactly the same distance apart in every home.

And, yes, I did try the guinea pig in case you’re wondering. It had a heavily-smoked flavoring and tasted like chewy chicken. I liked the alpaca we tried in Chile better (fancy roast beef).
