Nicaraguan Orphanage

I love what I get to do at Adventures. I train and equip young adults—18 to 22 years old—to go out into our world and bring real, tangible change.

  • They offer new life to women forced into the sex industry
  • They bring clean water and food to people recovering from natural disaster
  • They care for and play with orphans who desperately want to be known
  • They love families living in city dumps in both physical and spiritual ways
  • They invest in communities and individuals
  • They feed hungry children
  • They show people that there is a God who loves them, and then they get to share about Him
  • They follow God’s call to go!

Every semester I get to send out these world changers—individuals who give up three-months of their lives to serve people in great need.

It’s a beautiful thing.

This past long weekend I was in Nicaragua working with a group of 13 young adults who are spending their Spring Semester working in an orphanage. They do everything from mopping the floors and gardening to investing in beautiful children. And it’s leaving a lasting impact on everyone.

I can promise one thing. No one will walk away from these three months in Nicaragua—participant or orphan—the same as they started.
