(I wrote this post last Thursday and was in such a blitz that I never posted it.  I will update you in a few days on the week!)

Right now, I'm sitting in my office, trying to breathe deeply, rest in God's presence for a minute and get my head on straight.  I'm also wondering, "How did we get here?"

The past year has been nothing short of phenomenal.  God has done so much in us and through us, and I'm starting to get the idea that He's only getting started.  For a few months, I've been meaning to write a blog to let you all know what it is that we're doing down here in Georgia, but over the past few months, it has shifted a few times.

When we arrived here at Adventures in Missions in January, I (Bill) was in charge of the apprentice program, which was designed to invest in people coming off the field, disciple them and launch them into kingdom living.  I had about 10 people that I would spend time with on a regular basis, and I got pulled into some random projects.  Then things started to happen.  Katie was helping out with different projects and filling in gaps for people.

Long story short, I am now in charge of the training department for Adventures in Missions.  We mobilize over 1,000 young adults every year, and I am overseeing and developing the training for all of them.  It's an amazing opportunity, and I love it!  In just 2.5 hours, I start training our leaders for the 250 people coming to training camp in two days.

Additionally, I am the director of the Center for Global Action, which is a discipleship and ministry school for young adults.  We currently have 20 people involved in the program, and it continues to grow.  Oh yeah, and we live in a house with the 16 girls involved in the program.  I love walking the next step in the journey with them, encouraging them to make their "missions experience" a reality in the world wherever they are.  It's such a privilege for Katie and me!

Katie is now helping develop and improve our Passport program, which includes 2-10 month trips for college aged students.  It's been awesome to see her come alive and press into the spiritual development of these students.

Never have I felt so much weight or responsibility in my life.  Never have I had to trust and depend on the Lord like I do right now.  And never have I felt so blessed.  It's just incredible to me that God chooses to include us in His plan to bring redemption and wholeness to this world.

And so I'll take a couple more deep breaths, and then dive in head first.  Thanks for hanging in there with us, loving us, praying for us, and supporting us.  Be praying for Training Camp this week, as it really begins the journey to freedom and intimacy with the Lord for so many people!  I'll keep you updated!
