And God is good.

Our life has never been that consistent, as most of you know, but 2013 has brought with it more change than any other year of our lives.  And it's about time we let you guys know what's going on!

I (Bill) spent 2012 and the first few months of 2013 helping Adventures in Missions build a discipleship and leadership school called the Center for Global Action.  It was an awesome experience, and God showed up!  We had the joy of living with 25 of the apprentices in the program and sharing our lives with them.  It was an awesome season and we wouldn't have traded it for anything.  We learned so much about discipleship, and God used us in specific and life-changing ways.

Several months ago, my role changed at Adventures and I was asked to take over the spiritual formation and leadership development for the World Race.  I lead a team of people who provides spiritual leadership for the 700 World Racers that we send out every year.  Katie has stepped into a role with our Passport program, which send out 18-22 year olds for 1-9 month trips.  It's a huge privilege and responsibility, and we couldn't possibly ask for better opportunities to impact the younger generations.

Or could we?  While on vacation with Katie's family for Easter, she told me that she is pregnant!  God has been birthing a father's heart in me for some time, and I couldn't be more excited to have a child of my own to love, care for, and pour my life into.  So for those of you who gave up hope on us, SURPRISE!

We've moved into a new house with 8 new people that we will invest in for the next several months, and we've moved into new places in our relationship with God.  So I think it's pretty fair to say that almost everything has changed.

What hasn't changed is good stuff.  God is still good!  You, our friends and family have been awesome at loving, supporting, and encouraging us along the way.  We are beyond blessed, and we appreciate and love you all so much!
