Throughout the Race I have gotten to discover new facets about myself and Truth the Lord has in store for me. It’s a great gift to have time on hand to reflect, teammates to point out Truth and to witness Kingdom Builders living out Truth around the world in order to get a glimpse into your own life. One of the recent ponderings I’ve had on my mind is recognizing my worth.
At first when my squad mentor asked me ‘How much are you worth?’ I first considered the obvious response, “Jesus sacrifice on the Cross”. However, as I pondered it deeper and reflected on the freedom I have found while on this Race I came up with this:
“How much am I worth?”
-I am worth more than a hunk of cheese because I’m already cheesy by myself and I’m worth the giggles.
– I am worth more than the App ‘Heads Up’ because my smile that breaks into laughter can light up a room.
– I am worth more than a cup of coffee it’ll take to go out for a deep conversation, because I am worth getting to know.
– I am worth more than all the beautiful mountains. I know because I squeal at the opportunity to go see them and I know God painted them for me to rejoice in His beauty.
– I am worth more than 50 gallons of ice cream because I’ll fill someone up by word of encouragement and hope.
– I am worth more than a Cannon camera to take selfies because I’m beautiful and a picture won’t capture the depth of who I am.
– I am worth more than peanut butter that fills in as a daily meal on the Race because I am strong and I am capable.
-I am worth more than a chariot following a horse because I’m worth being pursued by a man of great character heart and fun
-I am worth more than any plane ticket because I’m worth the effort it takes to travel to no matter where I land.
– I am worth more than I’ll ever know because you take my crap and love me still.
It’s funny how it’s taken me a trip around the world to see something right inside myself. God instills Truth for us all, it’s deep and rich and beautiful. I’m so grateful He has set me free to experience what great gifts he has for me. Thanks for reading my thoughts and a lesson of what the Lord has revealed. More reflection to come, Can’t believe we’re about to begin our LAST week of scheduled ministry for the WorldRace.
