Hello!!

I’m Katie Alamo, and I’m from Forest Lake, Minnesota where I live with my awesome parents, two puppies Coco and Trixie, and my crazy sister Madeline. We are pretty much best friends, we are also polar opposites, and she can make me laugh in pretty much any situation. We have been so fortunate to be raised in a loving Christian home, and I am so thankful for all that my parents have taught me.

I’m 18 years old. I love mashed potatoes and Jesus. 🙂 I have played volleyball, basketball and softball at school, and I have loved playing and getting closer to my teammates. Being a captain to all these ladies has been a blessing and an awesome challenge and I love them all so much!

I am currently a small group co-leader for an awesome 8th grade group of girls at my church, and I will miss their craziness a whole lot while I’m gone. Also I currently make money by making tacos at our local TJ’s.

Quick story: When I was 12, I decided to go on a missions trip to Nicaragua with my dad. Ever since then, I have been in love with mission work, especially in Nicaragua. 5 trips later, and Nicaragua has a taken a huge place in my heart, and has taught me so much.

When I grow up I want to be a missionary, and I am hoping that God can work through me while I am on this trip, and really lead me and show me how to follow Him.
