When you are ready for something it means you are equipped, prepared, and/or willing.

I am ready to go on the race.

As I have prepared and researched the various countries we will go I have become even more excited.

I am ready to embrace the new perspectives God will give me during this journey that will impact the rest of my life. I am ready to endure whatever hardships may arise. I am ready to let go of whatever is holding me back from fully serving my God. I am ready.

I am ready to leave the US. Some think I am crazy for wanting to go to eleven different countries in eleven months while living out of my backpack and in a tent. I am ready to surrender the comforts of home for new discoveries and understandings of an Almighty God. I may be left with more questions than answers at times but I believe it will be a season of great growth.

I am ready to see and experience God’s love everywhere I go. It is not contained in one place but covers beyond what we know.

I am ready for my work to have meaning and to meet real needs in places around the globe.

Sure. I will miss my close family and friends and my dog, Sugar, but I am ready to be parted for a little while to embrace the next set of plans God has for me. It just so happens this next plan is eleven months long around the world.

I am ready for a change, to be changed, and to make a change.

What are you ready for? Are you ready to allow God to take control and take you to new heights you never dreamed of? His plans are so much better than anything you could ever dream up for yourself. Embrace it and be ready. He can take you anywhere at anytime.
