A Bracelet Fundraiser
Something for you, for the Kingdom. The thought behind this fundraiser is to highlight how God prepares us for seasons way before we experience them. I’ve been created with gifts and talents that I’m able to glorify the kingdom with, so here we go! During the summers of elementary school I went to a day camp on Lake Lanier. Each day was spent swimming, fishing, playing foursquare, archery, and sweet crafts time. We’d color and paint, make four string lanyards and friendship bracelets. I grew out of that camp’s age cap, but making time for crafts has continued as a pastime.
Throughout high school I got to go to summer camps where crafts meant solely jewelry making. During camp at Frontier Ranch I was making a necklace and chatting with the instructor when I realized that is a position I’d cherish. I was given the opportunity to serve as a crafts instructor at Lake Champion during the summer of 2018. Each day my co-server and I got to hang out with campers from all over the region and make beaded necklaces, paracord bracelets, keychains, and color pages. Campers and leaders would spend hours at our hut hanging out and strengthening their relationships. It was the coolest.
God has prepared and met me for more seasons than this of course, but this is a sweet and simple illustration. I found enjoyment in making things for others then and now I get to use the same enjoyable pastime to help support my mission. SO, here is something for you, that supports my mission with the World Race to glorify the Kingdom! I’m making three types of bracelets!
