I landed in the sweet state of Georgia exactly a week ago, woah! My two teammates from JAX ended up going straight home from Miami, but the majority of us spent a few days debriefing in ATL. From ATL my teammate Emily and I made our way north to my car, and have since been quarantined at my family’s home. We had flown into the states with a grand desire to instantly hit the road, but God and the law have said otherwise. I came back on fire ready to bring revival but these circumstances have quickly altered my perspective back into the American hustle. At the same time of feeling the pressure to quickly get a job and begin a career, the USA is shut down! This is such a weird time of transition. This pandemic has me feeling confined and limited in all of the ways. I’m in a whirlwind of emotions trying to process and continue moving forward into this next season of life.
In another light here’s a little backstory, I’ve been trying to break my lease since I signed it in August of 2019, and for some reason I haven’t been able to get out of it. Clearly the Lord has something else in store for me, and for the moment being it involves southeast Georgia. I can’t wrap my mind around why He’s calling me back to Statesboro for a 3rd time, but here we go. A little more backstory, Emily was planning on moving to GA after South America, but she’s here now so she’s going to be living with me until God says otherwise! I definitely think God placed her here for me because I would actually explode if I was quarantined alone for 2 weeks.
Our hearts are aching but our hope is radiating. Something holy and awesome is coming across the United States and as a team we are stoked to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves. If you’re curious about the rest of my squad, some are creating a ministry in St. Louis, some are home, some are living together, and some are paving the way to live in Colombia. As for me, Emily, and some others along the east coast, we are still praying that when the States are turned back on, a road trip that glorifies the Kingdom will be under our tires.
I don’t foresee many more blog posts on here, but if you’d like monthly updates about what’s up you can email me at [email protected]
Much love, K
