22 things that I’m thankful for that happened in my 21st year

  1. my church: Seacoast is a big church but if you try and get connected you will feel right at home
  2. the well: the passion these people who attend and provide this place to be able to worship God freely is just such a blessing
  3. community group: oh how important a good community of Christian people is! These people changed my life.
  4. my small group (Brittney, Lane, & Hope) some of the best “therapy” sessions I have ever had was with these girls. Their willingness to make me feel welcome was amazing. Those times we sat on the floor, chillin on the pillows in our little hippy circle with a candle will be something I never forget.
  5. Brokenness: thank God for brokenness! I have learned so much truth about myself through the times I felt so weak that I had no other choice than to lean on God and trust Him
  6. Growth: with out the growth of the past year I would’ve stayed in my comfort zone and never gotten to this point in my life where I have found true joy and peace in the Lord.
  7. Redemption: Halleluiah! Need I say more?
  8. Family: Dude I have a kick butt family! God was crazy for making us a “unit” but He knew what He was doing and I am so thankful for them!
  9. Gods Strength: I could never be strong enough to go through some of the things I went through this past year without Him! In those times of brokenness God really did show me how strong He was and I love that fact that I don’t have to be strong enough because He is on my side
  10. The girl who mention the World Race on a blog: this did change my life… I might have heard about the world race in a different way… but that night on Facebook I saw this girl say it changed her life and it is something that has already changed my life and I haven’t even left yet!
  11. Adventures in Missions: they organize the world race and they have just done such a fantastic job with the program!
  12. The World Race: just the knowledge and growth that I have received in getting prepared for this journey has been such an amazing and humbling experience
  13. Struggles: I am glad that I struggle. It makes me human! Yes they aren’t always pleasant but it makes me rely on God and I like the fact that I don’t have to do life on my own without Him!
  14. My job: we have a lot of time to talk, and I have become more aware of people in general, how they feel, why they might act a certain way.
  15. Friends: im just glad that I have some amazing friends that I get to do life with!
  16. Osquad: I have only known yall for a little while but I am so thankful for how open and accepting yall are to my craziness! I cant wait for this year!
  17. Training Camp: wow… training camp! It made me grow so much and I could spend hours on hours explaining how truly grateful I am for that experience
  18. Vulnerability: Im so thankful that I can be vulnerable and show that im not perfect… it was exhausting to think that I had to appear “perfect” and “put-together” all the time!
  19. “My flaws”: I can be clumsy, I can be awkward, and so many more “flaws” but honestly my flaws aren’t a bad thing… God uses them for the better and brings laughter and light into situations more often than not
  20. Determination: I am glad God placed a ridiculous amount of determination within me, without it I would not be able to have lost the weight I have or gotten out of my comfort zone and applied for the World Race
  21. Gods peace: it is one of those things that I just cant explain… Gods peace is just so amazing and I am truly thankful that I have experienced true PEACE!
  22. JOY! Self-explanatory! I have experienced so much joy in the past couple of weeks, and even though I had to be broken in order to feel this type of joy I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
