Do you like ROTTEN MILK?
I know that is a strange question but my answer, and probably all of your answer to that is, no.
How is that relevant?
As you can tell my first few blog posts where quite eventful. God was moving in my life in amazing ways. Today, I realized since then, without meaning to, I have had the mindset…,
"WOW that should fill me up spiritually for awhile." I started getting lazy with my spiritual life. I just kept thinking back on those two events; my grandma getting healed of cancer, and the Angel at my work, and used those to sustain me.
Looking back at those events to carry me spiritually is like drinking ROTTEN MILK. Milk is good to begin with but you never go back and drink it when it goes bad.
SOOOOOO…..
Good things may happen in your life, and it is good to recall them but let God do something new in you everyday! Don't let yourself get wrapped up in what
GOD HAS DONE but rather also what GOD WILL DO.
I believe keeping that mindset is going to be so important during the Race. I am going to experience incredible circumstances on this adventure, but I want to keep moving forward and know that God will keep moving in new and fresh ways, day after day.

UPDATE!!!
I did a 'Haircuts for a Donation' fundraiser where my wonderful friend/coworker/manager Michelle Pankey and I cut hair for 4 hours, I made about $400 WHICH honestly, really?
4 HOURS and I make $400, I'll take it! So praise God for that.

I can not tell you the exact amount I am at but I know I have reached the June 1st amount of at least $3,000.
I have a long long way to go and I am not sure where it will all come from, honestly, I feel somewhat stuck, but I am constantly reminded that,
God is rarely early but never late.
Amen to that.
I am leaving my home of four years in a couple days…. that is all I have to say now, but get ready for an emotional blog about the change soon : )

MEETING!TEAMMATES!EXCITING!
I met up with some teammates yet again, Kip Deaton, whom I nicknamed Kiplicious. She is a peach and humors my ridiculousness. Kip and I met Nick Hayden at REI in Dallas, where we spent FOUR hours in one spot, I bought my sleeping pad, Kip bought her sleeping pad/BED and Backpack, which we both found the PERFECT ONE and they happen to be the same : ). Nick bought his backpack and a SAWEEEEEET lifesaving bracelet that I convinced him to buy thank goodness.

Nick Hayden, whom, I nicknamed Nickster against his will. NICK had such a refreshing easy going personality and I am so excited to get to know him even more, his passion for Christ is inspiring. Sidenote- he opened the door for Kip and me when we were going in the Mexican Restaurant, big ups.

Kip and I met up with Christian Roderick again and his Best FRENNNN Kelly Arndt at a Diner in Norman for Breakfast. I want to give Christian a nickname, but it is not looking promising, he just wont have it. Christian is AWE-SOME. In case you do not know yet he was homeschooled, AND I would have never guessed it except for his impeccable vocabulary. THIS kid, is witty-er (made that word up I think) than all get out…. I find it highly amusing. Also, Kelly is equally wonderful.
Poor Valerie Rosado was supposed to meet Kip, Nick and me in Dallas at REI but was so darn sick and missed out, shout out to good 'ol Val Val. (she doesn't know here nickname yet.)
THEN Britni Bersin was getting her widom teeth out this weekend and could not make the haul to Noman to stay with Kiplicious with me, so sad.
-Shalom-
