TODAY,
WHAT
TO
SAY
ABOUT
TODAY!?

Yes, I had an Angel in my Salon Chair.

Last Night, I was Skyping with some of my teammates, and we were talking about where we were all at with our funds. I listened while each one stated how they were in the couple thousands, or more.  I could not help sink a little. I am at around $800.

QUITE THE DIFFERENCE RIGHT?

Well so I felt discouraged and went to bed with an increased anxiety about how much I needed to raise, ideally, before my trip.

I had to work this morning and I decided I would listen to the Christian radio, which to be honest, rarely happens. (I usually wake up KNOWING the EXACT song I want to listen to) I was praying on my drive especially about having peace about fundraising.

A few things hit me….
1) I don't want to be the person who complains and worries about raising all of the money, everyone knows it is a lot of money and I think anyone can agree there are better things to talk about. Like the amazing ways God WILL provide.
2) In a C.S. Lewis book I recently read I recalled when he talked about sometimes God provides in the very last minute, that way we HAVE to acknowledge it was HIM, there would be no other possible explanation. Plus it teaches us to TRUST Him.
3) I need to speak life giving words, I say that because complaining it the opposite. : ) WHICH means to me, that I need to not jokingly say I am not going to raise it all. OR envy when other people have all their money, OR worry about it in general.
IN OTHER WORDS……
THE glass IS not ONLY half FULL, but IT will SPILL over

4) Ok Lord, if you are going to provide all this money, one $20 by one $20, then so be it. I'm ready.

I get to work, open shop, and I am sitting in my chair waiting for costumers. I see this guy walk by and I literally think to myself, "I wonder if he will get a haircut." He ends up walking right past though. A few minutes later he came back and stated he decided to get one. When he went to sit down in my chair he threw a $20 bill on my counter and said, "Here's your tip." I was surprised and said thank you, I continued to somewhat laugh to myself, because it was a $20 bill, seeing as what I told God about an hour before. We made small talk and he ended up asking me about my plans from now and I decided to go ahead and tell him about my upcoming World Race Trip. He continued to tell me about how  I need to trust in God not question His timing. He just fed me a lot of words of encouragement. It was much needed. Then he told me how he didn't really plan on getting a haircut at all but he felt like he should, and he felt the Lord calling him to give me that $20.
THEN
He said, "Never stop trusting God, God will call people to provide, I have something for you."

$300.
He reached in his wallet and pulled $300 out, and handed it to me.

Raymond, thank you for speaking into my life today.
