Psalms 4:1

Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.

Growing up, I had to learn how to be obedient. I learned manors and how to put them to use. I learned rules, but broke them. I learned how to annoy my brother. He learned to forgive me. Everything comes with a learning process.

I remember the first time I heard the Holy Spirit. I came into training camp as a blank canvas. I wanted to feel the Holy Spirit. I wanted to listen and to obey no matter how afraid I was. Every night of training camp I asked God to reveal himself to me. I asked Him to speak to me.

  I asked and I received.

One of my teammates came into camp with a swollen/sprained ankle, she got prayed over multiple times for healing but God wasn’t ready yet. Days went by and she still wore her brace. The second to last night of training camp we stopped worship to practice listening prayer. I had no idea what I was doing but I asked God to help me listen for His voice. In that moment I knew to pray over my friends ankle, but it’s not that simple. That was out of my comfort zone. I have never walked up to some one I barely know and pray over them. I went back and forth with my self and almost backed out. I knew it was the Holy Spirt in me, I knew I had to do it and push my self out of my comfort zone. I prayed over her and at the end of the prayer she took off her brace and said “the pain is gone.”

God wants to use you for His Kindgom. We have to be willing to listen. God’s favor outweighs all oppostion.

At the end of the week my canvas was radiating color.

Job 33:33

Listen to me, be silent and I will teach you wisdom.

‘Give Me a Song’

There’s not a prayer I’ve prayed

That You haven’t heard

Not a tear I’ve shed

That you didn’t feel

You’re the God who comes to raise the dead

I know You’ll raise me up again

I know You’ll raise me up again

Who can praise You from the grave

to see the life You gave

Just to see the life you gave

Just to see the life you gave

Every fear in me You’ve put to rest

It’s the song sing I bring

Of your faithfulness

And every tear has led my feet to stand

Where the ocean meets the land

Where the ocean meets the land

Sink or swim I’m diving in

Where the river starts rushing

Where my heart starts beating

For the rhythms of the testing

And the songs of the trials

Love,
