Hola!

I’ve been in El Salvador for one week now. There are two teams living together in a little house in Apastapeque (San Vicente). We have been leading church and worship services and building relationships with families in various communities through prayer, games, chores, and conversation. A lot of the communities we have been visiting are very poor and don’t have access to water.

I tried surfing for my first time at the beach Monday but that was a pretty big failure.

Yesterday we went to a natural spring to swim where there are fish that eat the dead skin off your feet! If you stand still for 10 seconds you’ll have literally 20 fish nibbling at your toes. Took some getting used to; but I have ugly feet, so if the fish want to help me out then who am I to stop them?!

Tomorrow we are going to play sports with youth in a community. That’s about all I know, we never really know what’s going on until it happens. But the kids are my favorite. No matter what you are doing they come up to you asking to play ball or just to sit with you.

Everyone should know that I won the silver medal during the San Felipe street races! Picture for proof below. Am I supposed to let kids win?
