This month we are living in Phnom Penh (the capital of Cambodia). We are working in Hope Orphanage! There are 28 kids living here and each one of them has stolen my heart!
Especially my new crush, baby Paul, who is always naked!

The kids living here are either orphaned, abandoned, or have parents with addictions unable to care for them. One little girl Deborah, is disabled and was abandoned by a tree with a note on her. She’s precious!

We spend our days playing with the children who aren’t in school and helping teach English and computers to them. Recently someone donated 3 computers to the orphanage, which the kids share playing educational games. This is a real treat for them because other than that, the kids have very few toys: 1 jump rope, crayons, and 1 ball…for 28 kids to share.

I have never really understood what it means to live by faith until experiencing this ministry and the man who started it in 2006. Rithey was an orphan himself and has a huge heart for these children. They have no idea where their next meals will come from, they live completely by faith and the generosity of others. They have one monthly donation of $200 from a local church and that's it! It’s been 3 months since he’s been able to pay rent; and he often has to owe people in the market in order to provide rice for the children’s meals that day….but God continues to provide for them. And Rithey continues to step out in faith, knowing that the work he is doing makes the Lord smile. Rithey has faith like a child.
