On Saturday’s in the Philippines, we learned traditional Philippino dancing and then joined with members of the church for their out reach programs.  One of these Saturday’s, we ended practice absolutely dead.  We had absolutely nothing left.  And yet, there was still more.

We were to go and host a children’s program for about an hour. When we show up, we learn it is going to be Ruby and I with a mother and her two young adult daughters.  Ruby and I were trying really hard to get our game faces on, think of songs, figure out how to do a Bible story with two people, and fill an hour of time.

On the way, we start talking to our people helping us and getting to know them. They are pretty fun and it helps us gather our energy.  When we arrive, its a tiny room filled with tiny smiling face.

Honestly, it was one of the most fun times I have ever had in kid’s ministry.  We would sing and dance, and they would enthusiastically join.  They taught us songs.  We talked about prayer.  We talked about David and Goliath.  There were giggles everywhere.

Before we knew it, it was time to go….only it was raining.  In the Philippines, if it rains, you do not simply go out.  You wait. So we sit down, and now its just us and our new friends.  We had a solid hour of laughing, sharing testimonies, sharing stories, and just being young adults.  It was so great.  We started off absolutely done, and walked away with good friends.

The Lord knew exactly what we needed that night and blessed us immensely.  He is so good.
