Wingapo Friends!
I have finished up Training Camp. It was one of of those hard but beautiful things. It was ten days full of creative sleeping, discomfort, growth, prayer, constant movement, and community. At training camp we recieved some information pertinent to the route. The biggest new is, we’ve had some changes. Our new order is:
Cambodia
Thailand
Malaysia
Philippines
Zimbabwe
Zambia
Malawi
Ukraine
Romania
Albania
If you are a numbers person you may have notices that is 10 countries, not 11. There is an 11th country, we just do not know what yet. A combination of cost and needs means that we will not be going to Greece. (Basically, Greece is expensive and the need is for people to come long term.) Other area’s are being prayerfully considered, but no decision has been made yet. While our team is naturally a little sad about Greece, the consensus is assuredly that we are incredibly excited for what God will provide. It’s going to be great. The other change was that Cambodia (not Malaysia) is the first country on our trip.
On another note, I have been blessed to be on a girls team. The six of us will be dwelling in mission together. (A team is a smaller break down of the team. While we will all be traveling to each country together, within each country we will be working with our team for different mission projects. At some points, we may all be very near each other. Other months we may be more spread out.)
