Glimpses Of Heaven
You know how God allows you to experience Heaven on earth? Well, my PVT to Dragonesti, Romania was just that for me. Those who know my daughter, Katherine, are thinking that she is my reference point since she is angelic, but it is more than her, more than me. God is like that- MORE, just more of everything! I saw glimpses of Heaven in the beauty of Romania. The day lilies, sunflowers, roses reminded me of God the Creator. To imagine all of this with just a Word…. Of course, the people of Romania with their timeless beauty inside and out, and their hospitality, generosity, sincerity. They captured my heart and are easy to love! Praise God for allowing me the privilege of seeing his people in Romania , and to witness a small measure of His desire to be in relationship with them. A glimpse of heaven was found in the ministry and missionaries of the Hope Church: Their tireless zeal and passion for God and their joyful obedience in spreading the Truth. Again, what a privilege to share in their ministry as we handed out Bibles, prayer walked neighborhoods, talked to people in the parks, prayed over a university, and participated in a children’s ministry. Now, that’s heaven- believers working together to share the love of Christ. Oh, the joy, laughter and tears as the Holy Spirit moved… Amen and Amen!! Of course, the worship together was truly Heaven on Earth. I am always amazed how God hears our different languages and knows our desire to praise Him: No borders, no barriers, just grateful, redeemed people lifting up our worship to a mighty God. God is great and God is good!! We even celebrated communion and washed feet ( with a Jesus towel- you had to be there). To be able to wash Katherine’s feet, her servant’s feet, in the name of Jesus..…It does not get much better than that!! But yet, God is a God of More…..Just when I thought I was so full and yet He allowed me to fellowship with other racers and their sweet families. To share life with them too… Could this also be Heaven??..I think so….I know so….To hear their stories, their struggles, their hopes and dreams…(If it had been a musical, I would have broken out into to a song!!)…I was overwhelmed with the genuine love for each other…you know, that God kind of love….The kind of love that requires openness and acceptance…the kind of love that inspires you to be a bold in Christ… …Obviously, a Holy Spirit love…. God knows we need those glimpses of heaven to inspire us to stay strong in Him; to maintain our deep desire to seek Him in all we do…The privilege was mine. The glimpses was all Him!!! To see Christ working through and in all these racers…to experience their boldness and confidence in God…It is exciting to catch a glimpse of these World Changers in action…Quite heavenly!
