Wingapo friends!
Shortly before departing for the World Race the Lord gave me an image of me standing on a battlefield, suited up in armor. In this picture, it was dim and I was in an open field. All around me was death and destruction. I wanted to join in the fight but I didn’t know where to begin. All around me were people fighting, but it was impossible to tell who was for me and who was against me.
I looked up, and the battlefield was replaced by an image of the same field, but covered in sunshine and beautiful white flowers.
I looked back out and saw death. I knew there was a field of flowers, but I could not figure out how to transform the first picture.
I kept looking between the two until they overlapped, and eventually even the flowers were marred by death.
Fast forward a little, and I was back on the battlefield, but this time I was dressed in a white dress while standing on the field of death. Instead of fighting, I wanted to dance. As I danced, white flowers started growing, and the death receding.
Being in Cambodia and Thailand has certainly had a fair share of dancing and death moments, but the one thing the Lord keeps asking is for me to dance and praise his goodness while in the midst of death. I am stubborn; I am a fighter, but when I join the fight I can only loose. I am one small thing in a big world. When I dance in the fight, I choose to let God’s victory speak for itself and reject the lie that darkness has power over God.
In other news, the Wildflowers as well as the rest of my squad (all 37 of us) are now in Chang Mai, Thailand. Wildflowers are hoping to make some new friends and build relationships in the bar scene of Thailand. We are excited for the friends that we will make, stories we will hear, and the love we can share. Please be in prayer for us as we will be needing a lot of it this next and every month.
