Hello again friends,
I am excited to announce that yesterday I met my goal for February! Now for next month, March I am trying to raise $600. This worked very well for February, so my projected total that I will need to raise for the rest of my voluntee-ship with A21 is $1,800. I am absolutely loving working withA21 and seeing the wonderful ways God is moving in this space.
A quick reminder before I tell my story about Italy, to donate you can:
-PayPal me
-Venmo me
-mail a check or give it to my parents
Please contact me if you need help with any of these, and thank you so much for your support.
While on the World Race, my squad and I spent our tenth month in Albania. My team was blessed to have a member who had studied abroad in Italy, and since we were so close, we took a weekend trip to Florence, Italy.
Needless to say, it was amazing, but while we were there I saw something more amazing happening. Ministry.
One of the weirdest things for me coming onto the race was evangelism. It just always seemed like a pushy thing to me, as well as forced and unnatural. Coming into Cambodia, it was over half of our ministry. And by part way through Africa, I realized something: evangelism ministry had become my favorite ministry.
The only thing that changed was the way I thought about it. Evangelism used to be a forced conversation where I talked about the good news of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It became learning about another person and vulnerably letting them learn about God through my story.
In Italy I learned something even cooler. Evangelism had become normal. I watched as time after time, my teammates, without even trying, made aquantences with strangers that ended with the stranger asking questions about God or a piece or a testimon or inquiring about missions. Each time, it was such an easy, natural conversation. You know that tension that sometimes comes up when peopke start talking about the Bible or hearing God’s voice? There was nonsense of that.
One of the best things I took away from the race is evangelism as a lifestyle. When you live vulnerably with God and invite him into your conversations, He will make Himself apparant.
Have a beautiful and blessed week!
