With great sadness, we bid farewell to our new friends here in Kenya. This has been an awesome month of ministry, personal growth and new friendships. The pastors we have partnered with jokingly told us that they ‘told God’ that we would be returning to visit them next year…. Curious to see how God responds to that!
In all seriousness, I would LOVE to come back to Kenya. There’s just no place like it!
So, at 3:45 this afternoon we hop on a plane to South Africa, our last flight of the trip before the final trip home. Weird. I look forward to an amazing final two months and am praying to finish strong.
My prayer now is that I will have the opportunity to spend some extended time with the Lord before we set out on our last leg of ministry. I really want to pray and think through my experiences of the last nine months, and to seek an understanding of what God is doing, what I’ve learned, how I’ve changed, and how to prepare for the rapidly approaching return to the US. Please pray for me that despite the chaos of the world race schedule, I will have the chance to do this in a meaningful way.
