A World Race Valentine’s Day Poem
My Darling Wife is sweeter than galletas,
And more thrilling than a late night chicken bus ride.
More comforting than a meal of mashed potatoes,
Served alongside chicken that is fried.
More breath-taking than the view from the volcano,
And also more breath-taking than the climb.
More valuable than a Spanish dictionary,
And far more clever than this silly rhyme.
But what bad poetry can never say,
Is how I cherish you, and love our life.
And how I hope with all my heart each day,
To have a heart more like my Darling Wife’s.
