As we say our goodbyes, as we've said our goodbyes, our hearts are filled with a sadness left by the knowledge of our long departure from the people we know and love. Yet, as we leave them behind to embark on this journey God has called us to, we melt into the loving embrace of our Lord, which fills us with joy. Our Father is rejoicing. Our Father is proud. He is inviting us to be a proclamation as well as a subtle thought in the back of someone's mind urging them to take a step of faith. For God is always there. He is here with us on this journey. He is there at the places we will visit. He is there with those back home.
This is a shout-out to our parents. It is for those who have raised us, taught us, encouraged us, and introduced us to our Saviour. You know the Lord; so, darlings, forget your worries. You have been with us through our steps in faith and led us on this path we now travel. You have been a part of this, but do not regret that. Rather, rejoice in your children's courage that has been instilled in our hearts and body. You have pushed us to be followers and leaders. You have encouraged us to stand apart and speak up for our beliefs. You have shown us love and care that we may show to others. Your actions have taught us the wisdom we now more than ever need to incorporate into our daily routines. Rest assured we will be safe.
But know, you cannot protect us. And know we cannot protect ourselves. It is through our Lord, whom we must rely on. It is now in our Father that we must place our trust. And that is more than enough. Our heavenly Father has called us on this mission, and, as such, He will guide and protect. You must accept this and be happy.
As we (the squad) join together to form a new family, we extend that invitation to you. We ask for your prayers and support. We ask that you trust in God's will and accept His timing and placement of His children. And now, I ask that you pray for one of our sisters. I ask that you pray for her and her entire family. I ask that you pray that God may heal sickness and instill in them a peace that casts their worries and stress away. I ask that you pray with a fierceness that renews your faith and their faith that God may do the incredible, because nothing is impossible for Him. Ask the Lord to shed His never failing love upon them that they may feel safe and secure in a time of chaos. Just pray.
I have a heart full of gratitude for the families of my brothers and sisters. I have a heart full of love for you. Be strong. Be gentle. Walk along side our Father and you will be at peace.
