Recently, I just got back from training camp for the World Race. Camp was probably the hardest 10 days that I have ever experienced. We were put through worse case scenarios that could happen while out on the field. I had bugs crawl on me at night while sleeping, a 3 mile hike with a almost 40 lbs backpack, only 3 bucket showers, and tons and tons of dirt and sand. Much more happened but I do not want to give anything away to future racers who are snooping for answers to the mysteries of training camp.

Throughout the week, God was mending the wounds that this world has left on my heart. I was stretched and healed in areas that I did not know needed attention. By the grace of God, I have been liberated from the bondages of my past. The wounds that were taking over my heart have been healed by God’s loving embrace and his abundent grace has washed over me. My heart now feels a light, airy freedom that I have not felt for years. Although training camp was physically, mentally, and spiritually exhausting, all the sweat and tears were worth it. I needed healing and grace in my life in order for me to go out and successfully spread God’s kingdom.

We also found out our team for the first couple of months! I am so excited to be spending this amazing experience with these lovely ladies. Names from left to right: Allison, Bre, Emily, me, Katie, Natalie. Our team name is Gentle Embers because our gentle spirits are fierce enough to start wildfires in God’s kingdom.

We can also be super goofy!

The devil has already been on attack within our team because he is terrified of what we can/are doing in the name of God. Therefore, I ask that you keep each of us in your prayers.

Thank you so much to all those who have supported me throughout this journey through your prayers and contributions. Currently I am almost 50% funded. I have raised a little over $7500 but in order to leave in August I need to reach my goal of $10,000. If you feel led, you can give through my blog. I would also love to sit down with you and have a conversation about what God is doing in my life. Thank you again!!
