There are so many opportunities to see Jesus if you just open your eyes. I have seen Jesus in a few different ways this past month, mostly working at the senior center. The more I got to know these people the more inspiring they became to me. They have been through so much in their lives and have touched so many people, and yet in many ways they are alone. Many of them don’t have someone to take care of them. So they fill their days coming to the senior center and do different crafts and exercise. Yet, this month was different they were able to experience pieces of Jesus through each of us. You could see when the Lord shined through us and we were simply his hands and feet. That is an amazing feeling.

Yesterday, was a big day. My heart was broken for Jesus’ people. I had the privilege of meeting a beautiful little girl named, Anita. She has a smile that makes you smile and a laugh that will make you burst out in laughter. She was abandoned by her family and left to fend for herself. I don’t know exactly what all she faces physically, I do know she is blind but none of that really matters. What matters is that she is a daughter. She is a princess. A child of the one true King. I want her to believe that. I want her to feel the love of the Father. Because he has so much love for her.

I don’t understand why certain things happen in this life. How someone can come to the point where they could leave their child behind…  That isn’t for me to understand. It is my job to pray. Pray for Anita that she will be placed somewhere that can take care of her, and love her like she deserves. I can pray for the family that left her behind. I can pray for the people who will be in her future. That they will have hearts that love big.

A group of us were able to pray over her last night and that was such a blessing. Jesus showed up. Anita was laughing through the whole prayer. I believe she was comforted by her heavenly father during that time. My prayer for her is that she will always feel that and be surrounded by His love.

The Lord is moving. He is doing big things. He is stirring hearts and breaking down walls. He has plans for each of us and we are going to shake the nations. Being used by the Lord in which ever way that looks like for you is one of the best gifts. Ask the Lord what this looks like for you. How can you be better used by the Lord? What gifts do you have? All you have to do is ask… then act.
