For the next three weeks we will be in Swaziland.
We are tenting on a farm.
Surrounding us are mountains, cows, and zebras with a rare spotting of giraffes.
Living with us are about forty chickens.
They usually move away from you as you walk.
I have had a few times where I thought one was about to charge at me, which is usually followed by a scream.
The women here wear skirts, so to be culturally appropriate we do as well.
As I sit here and think about it I feel like I am living out the TV show little house on the prairie.
Everything is done by hand including laundry and meals on an open fire.
We have been placed here to help a project called G 42.
The main goal is to have a self-sustaining children’s village.
Right now there are four care points that feed and educate children.
We will be visiting these areas to keep contacts open as well as many other projects.
We continue to pray to see exactly where God wants us within this project.
Today we had the opportunity to visit all four-care points.
The children are all so beautiful, full of smiles and waves.
At the last site we visited my heart was broken for the children.
The children had physical signs of malnutrition.
Some of them had swollen belly’s and hair discoloration.
The children were eating food found on the ground due to starvation.
I wish I could take every child home with me so they know what it felt like to have a warm bed and full belly’s.
What a blessing it is to be a part of this project.
The children will have a better future.
