This month
we are sleeping in a newly bought building our contacts own. We have been sleeping in our tents in this
building because we are not the only ones that live here. We have been visited by snakes, scorpions and
spiders. The pigeons that live in our
roof often enjoy pooping on us or our tents.
Plus as they fly around pieces of the roof fall off. The blessing out of this
situation is our other 3 roommates. We
live with 3 local men who work at and protect the property we are living. These 3 men are amazing. Not only do they come running when we scream
spider but they pour into us and have fun with us. I do not feel like I have the freedom to share
their past but where they have all come from to where they are now is truly a
testament to how powerful God is.

Every morning we are outside at
about 7 am helping to reconstruct this new site. We rake brush into piles to be burned and
pick up millions of rocks on the ground.
As the weeks have passed our arms have become more and more toned. Who knew I ever had muscle there! In the afternoons our schedule frequently
changes. Sometimes we do door to door
evangelism with the youth from the local church, and other days we help to do
programs or church services for the community.
Our group has been performing drimes at a lot of the local events. We even recruited one of our guys we live
with to play Jesus. A drime is a dance
that has a story to it. 3 of our girls
who are the singers of the group will perform songs, which are usually followed
by testimonies or a sermon.

This month we have been
stretched. Not only are we exhausted physically
most days but we are being challenged spiritually. Door to door evangelism has been honestly awkward,
and preparing a whole church service has been consuming a lot of time to pray
into the event and prepare. Sometimes
stretching hurts but this month I have found that this kind of stretching feels
good. We are being challenged and at this
point in the race it has been enjoyable.

I was sitting on the floor preparing dessert. As I looked around and saw my friends swimming,
laying in hammocks and cooking I just smiled.
All I could think of was how great life is.
