Hey Dad
So these past few weeks I have been feeling pretty under the weather. I am not very sure why but I just haven’t felt 100% good.
With that being said I just want to say thank you Dad.
Thank you for being a beekeeper. For always making it known how important bees are for the environment. For always teaching me to take honey as medicine for those colds. I had a cup on hot water and honey the other night cause my throat was really sore and it was as good as new after it.
Just thank you for being my Dad.
Thank you for the memories from my childhood that nothing could ever replace.
Thank you for the long mornings of tapping trees and long days in the sugar shack with you.
(It usually felt like we would be out for about 10 hours straight but we both know I was overdramatic about time back then)
Thank you for making me face my fears when I was a kid and have me go out in the bee yard. I use to be petrified of getting stung but not so much anymore.
Thank you for letting me eat the product that I shouldn’t eat because we could have sold it.
(Mostly the honey sticks)
Thank you for always keeping the weekends eventful with all the shows.
I remember this one show in central park awhile ago. I think it was either the October fest or the winter fest. Well you sent Jules, Denny and myself out to buy sugar for the cotton candy. So I swear it felt like we were out and about in NYC for a solid 3 hours straight but in reality we walked like a block away if that.
What even was time back then… haha
Yet I just have so many memories from all the shows that we would be dragged to. Sometimes it was voluntary but most times forced because we obviously couldn’t stay home alone but in the long run I would redo all of it again because those are memories I could never remake. Those are memories I truly cherish about my childhood.
ALSO
I especially love the time we met the man who played Spongebobs voice on tv.
That was really cool.
Thank you for teaching me the importance of being a hard worker.
The other morning a team made breakfast. It was pancakes and “maple flavored” syrup.
It brought me back to some memories from when I was a kid.
Remember that one time we were out at Bilmar collecting sap and I was being really lazy and not wanting to do anything so I would make excuse after excuse to go and sit in the truck. You kept telling me to come on and get the work done so we could go to the next place. So I got out of the truck and we finished all the work and when it was time to go we walked to the truck and you had realized I accidentally locked the keys in the truck.
OPPS…
Sorry about that
Well we had to call mom to come get us kids while you waited for the police to come to unlock it.
Mom showed up and us kids got in and good ole Denny goes to shut the door of the van and slammed my finger in the door. That was rough but looking back so funny.
I have countless memories of all the times you would take us kids out in the morning to collect sap and or tap trees.
Those are some of the best memories and I just want you to know I am thankful for them all.
I am thankful for you being such a hard working man.
You always taught me how important it is to work out and eat healthy food.
How important it is to take care of myself and keep the things that I own nice and take care of them.
I just want to say thank you.
It may have seemed like I wasn’t listening to a word you said back then but I was always listening.
I always heard what you said and I am thankful for you guidance.
I miss you Dad
I love you very much!
You’re a great man and I so thankful Jesus gave you as my earthly Dad.
and like you always say…
Be good and do good works
I LOVE YOU!
