Hi again!
I know it’s just been a few days since I last wrote, but I am so excited to be sharing this with you. I am about to share a part of my heart that has brought me struggles, sadness, and tears, but has also taught me triumph, victory, and hope. I will be honest and tell you that I have doubts and struggles when it comes to hearing from the Lord, but tonight He blessed my heart with one word that turned into hours of journaling and also this post that you’re reading now. The one word he said to me tonight was “eat”. I was so confused at first and thought for sure that I was just tired and should just go to bed, but then I heard so much more. I heard:
Eat because you’re beautiful just as I made you: magnificent. radiant.
Eat because I made food just to make you smile. I gave you taste-buds to show you a glimpse of the delight you can find in Me.
Eat because your body needs the energy to accomplish the mighty works I want to do through you today.
Eat with me. Dine with me. Sit at my table and spend hours with me. My attention is on no one else but you. Please stop being distracted.
Eat with your family. For the next 7 months you are going to be blessed with meals that will turn into some of the most cherished memories you will ever have. Store them up in your heart, and find joy in them.
Eat carrots. They are good for your eyes, and I have placed the brightest stars in your eyes. So eat your carrots.
Eat because when you trust me and are faithful to me I will fill you and you will never hunger ever. ever. again. You will never hunger for knowledge: I am all you will ever need to know. Exploring my heart and embarking on the adventures I have for you will satisfy your curiosity for eternity. You will never hunger to be loved, for I have desired you, longed for you, and madly chased after you. You will never hunger for companionship. I will never leave you or forsake you. You are engraved in the palms of my hands. You won’t ever hunger to be known, for I know you more deeply than you know yourself. I made every part of you, and I know everything you will ever think or say for all of eternity. I understand you. And you will never hunger again.
