11 months of traveling has finally coming to an end. I am officially home from this journey of my life; this journey that has opened my eyes, changed my heart, and solidified my passion for Jesus Christ.

Despite this incredible journey… I have been most definitely ready to come home!

I have missed you, my friends, my family, my church, my home, my city, my life! I can’t wait to wrap my arms around all of the people I love. I am excited about not being disconnected because of bad wifi.  I am excited to be able to understand and communicate in the same language as the people around me. I am excited to be in charge of making decisions for myself, from what food I want to eat to where I want to go… I don’t have to have 7 people agree to be able to do it! The list goes on and on about all the things I’m excited about… but there are a lot of things that terrify me too!

One of the biggest things that scares me is what do I do now with this trip? How do I not forget the incredible ways the Lord has changed my life? How do I go back to such a steady culture while the only constant for me this past year has been change? How do I even start to explain to each of you what this year has really been to me? How can I get you to understand?

This year I have realized how incredibly blessed I am to have so many people who love and care about me, even when I am literally across the world! Despite this being an incredible blessing, it has also made me feel a little overwhelmed when I think of trying to answer some of the broad questions about this trip of a lifetime. I’m scared you’re going to ask me things and I’m going to leave something incredible out, OR for me to tell you the whole story we would be talking for 2 days straight.

So I’ve created some questions that might help both of us. These are moments over this past year that mean a lot to me, make me laugh, or are just incredibly unique experiences. The goal of these questions is to help me narrow down the broad question of “summarize the most transformative year of your life to me” that I hear when you say “How was your trip?”
