My time in Cambodia is coming to an end, so I am doing a whole lot of reflecting today. From the first moments we got here my heart has been filled with so much joy. Many of you may know that I love 1 Peter 2 and have been meditating on it for quite some time now. Over the course of the last couple of months the Lord has been teaching me what meditation looks like as well as what it means. To meditate means to practice becoming something. This month my team and I had the privilege of staying at Overflow Guesthouse, an Adventures in Missions base in Siem Reap. The Lord’s love infiltrates this place. He loves this place and everyone here and it has been so evident since the day we arrived here. So, upon arrival at Overflow, our hosts Scott, Christina, and Tara took all fifty-five of us up several flights of stairs where we found ourselves standing on a rooftop overlooking Cambodia. This is not just any rooftop, it is a church. It is a place of overwhelming grace. The sight was more than beautiful, and it was an honor to be surrounded by so many women that are also choosing to follow the Father. In this church we gathered around Scott, Christina, and Tara praying expectantly over Cambodia, Overflow, and specifically the Church. As we began pray I sat there in awe of the Lords goodness, with literally no words. I didn’t have really anything to say nor was I hearing anything and then the Lord spoke. He said to me, “KATELYN! YOU KNOW MY HEART AND I HAVE WRITTEN SCRIPTURE ON YOUR HEART. STEWARD IT!” And in that moment I recognized all that the Lord had been preparing me for in 1 Peter 2. Firstly, is knowing I am chosen and precious to Him, and so are you. Secondly, each and everyone one of us are living stones that are building up the kingdom. I think it is so beautiful that the Lord has literally chosen us. It says in 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, “Now it us God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set a seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” GUYS THAT IS SO COOL!! THE LORD IS SO GOOD AND HE LOVES US SO STINKING MUCH!!
