I am so thankful that God is so patient with me. It seems like I have to keep learning some of the same lessons again and again. This past Saturday was my first big fundrasing event, the car wash! The whole week leading up to it I felt like a wreck. I worried and worried about all the different scenarios that could possibly go wrong. The night before the car wash I hardly slept as I imagined that no one would show up or that I would somehow forget something really important and the whole thing would fail. All of this worrying for nothing!!! God totally blessed the event and blew my original goal of $500 out of the water. I ended up with a whopping $1600!!!! I am so excited to see how God is able to use me and bless me despite the fact that I continuously expect the worst! My goal from here on out is not to worry and to really trust!

Here is my “theme” verse while I work on trusting and relying on the Lord for the rest of this process:

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” Ephesians 2:10

I love thinking about how God made me for a reason. He is going to provide everything I need to do the good works he has planned for me. I like to imagine God as my coach and everything that I go through is training me for these works he wants me to do. One goal I have this week (and forever) is to be easy to coach! I don’t want to fight tooth and nail for God to be able to lead me down whatever path we are going. I am trying very hard to say goodbye to anxious worrying and be bold and confident. Afterall, He has never once let me down!
